SOMETIMES A MAN’S GOTTA DO, WHAT A MAN’S GOTTA DO. AT THE WIESLER OUR BARBER CATERS FOR JUST THOSE MOMENTS.

We’ve got what real men are looking for.

Firstly, the razor is sharpened until it gleams then in comes our lady from Venezuela, known only as “the barber”. The swish of the hot shaving brush sweeping the foam across your face, steam rising, the sensation of the razor being manoeuvred masterfully across your skin. The result: a feeling of calm contentment. A strong Turkish coffee gets your circulation going again.

And if you want this to be a regular experience then you can always put gift vouchers for the barber on your wish list.

Next please!

The art of barbeRing

craftmAnship.

THE ARTISTRY REQUIRED BY A BARBER IS A CRAFT THAT HAS BEEN VALUED IN ISTANBUL FOR CENTURIES AND THE TRADITION IS STILL TREASURED TODAY. “THAT IS JUST WHAT GRAZ NEEDS”, WE THOUGHT.

Untamed beards, strong coffee. At the barber’s a man can really be himself. Unwritten rules state that first there is time for a bit of banter, then the beard is trimmed, this is followed by a gulp of coffee and a chat about politics. Then comes the dirty joke and another gulp of coffee, after which you both agree that you don’t see one another often enough and that the weather really is dreadful.

And they say that men don’t like to talk…

IF YOU CAN HANDLE A ‘SHORT BACK AND SIDES’ AT THE HANDS OF OUR MASTER BARBER THEN YOU HAVE EARNED A REWARD: HOT, BLACK COFFEE WHICH WILL MAKE YOUR EARS STEAM A LITTLE.

This is how they have been making it in the Orient since the 16th century and it is also just how our mas-ter coffee makers at the Wiesler have been doing it since 2010. We take coffee that has been ground to a fine powder and add water, sugar and a pinch of cardamom. Then we heat this mixture in a long-handled copper coffee pot until a thin foam develops. And because the best things in life take time, we repeat this process three times. Salaam!
